1st Local Case of INFLUENZA A(H1N1)

KUALA LUMPUR, June 17 (Bernama) -- Malaysia has recorded its first local infection of influenza A(H1N1) involving a 17-year old female Malaysian student.

Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Mohd Ismail Merican in a statement today said the girl, the 19th person positive for influenza A(H1N1), had no history of having travelled to a country that had the flu.
He said the student had shown symptoms of cough and cold on June 14 beginning at 9pm and began developing a fever the next day and on same day went to the University of Malaya Medical Centre and was referred to the Sungai Buloh Hospital at 10am.
"During investigation, the 19th case reported that she was in contact with the 12th case, a medical student who was confirmed positive for influenza A(H1N1) on June 13. Before this she was not listed as a contact to case 12.
"This caused failure to do early monitoring and quarantine of case 19 and caused 20 more people (contacts) to be exposed to influenza A(H1N1) infection," he said.

See-Through Frogs, Alien Salamanders, and Spiny Bugs...Oh My

A salamander that looks like E.T., a micosized frog smaller than a fingernail, and a spiny-crested grasshopper. Who says the age of exploration is dead?
It's definitely not for Conservation International (CI). Their scientists have come back with some startlingly vivid images of endangered and never-before-seen critters from a whirlwind trip to the Nangaritza Protected Forest in Ecuador, near the Peruvian border. CI researchers came across at least 15 species of creatures and plants "unknown to science."
One of the most remarkable creatures is the Hyalinobatrachium pellucidum, also called a glass or crystal frog because you can see through its transparent flesh (right down to its guts). This guy's not new, but he's definitely endangered, so the find is heartening for environmentalists.
The purpose of the three-week biodiversity study was to identify species and make conservation recommendations for ecotourism possibilities, which the Ecuadorian locals are entertaining. It also turns out that frogs and insects yield medicinal properties, and a proper population survey is needed to see what else is out there in the forest.
According to Bloomberg, out of 14 million plants and animals in the world, human beings have been acquainted with only about 1.8 million. Below are more images of new friends; you can find other photos and expedition details at CI's site.

Hari pertamaku umah MIL ku..perasaan tu agak berlainan cket..yela klu dulu dtg sbgi tetamu..so, acting tu mcm biasela..mcm takde ape2 berlaku..tapi kli ni..aku sbg menantu...terasa mcm..mcm mane eh..tahla..susah nak describe..wlaumcm mane pun..alhamdulillah, aku diterima baik sesisi keluarga die..

tapi ape yg aku dpt simpulkan..cik abg aku atau gelaran nye 'adik'..mmpunyai 3org abg..dan seorg kakak..means aku ade biras sbyk 3org..yang sulung..seorg doktor..tak smpt nak beramh msra sgt..sbb time aku kawen die tak dtg...ayahnyer skit...yang keduanyer..seorg yg amat ceria..ape yg aku nampak..die ni mcm penyeri gakla..mybe sbb talkative dah setiasa ceria..jd org cpt snang dgn die..dan yg terakhirnya..kakak ipar yg sebya aku..agak pndiam..tapi senang didekati..tgh mengandung..cpt rezeki die Allah bagi..Aku?? insyaallah..aku yakin ada..tapi kena tunggu ye...hmmm..abg2 die pulak..pendiam...tapi yg 1st dah terakhir tu..okla juge..tak de la pndiam sgt..tapi aku ni..selambe jer...heheh

lpas zohor, mandi2..aku g kdai mkandam tu dalm pukul 3...mcube bju..perghhh..'ketatttt!!!' cik abg aku tgk dari luar je pun dah geleng kepala n tarik muke..tapi takpe..die mmg cmtu..so, aku ckp kat anak mkcik tu..aku nak bukak abes baju ni..biar longgar terus...tapi mkcik ni pulak ckp..'ishh, tak lawa la besar2...biarla ade bntuk cket'...ya allah...dlm hati ku..kesianyerla kat mkcik ni...tak tau hukum hakam..patutla die pkai la bju2 yang ala2 saloma tu..tetibe anak die bsik2 kat aku 'takpe dik..ni blh bukak abes ni, nanti akak bukak kan..' haaa...walaupun anak die berambut merah..tapi die blh gak la fhm kehendak aku..hoho so, esok..tunggu jela how baju tu..

mlm...kiorg ramai2 isi kek dalm kotak..cik abg aku bangga tul dgn door give die..aku pun tak fhm knp die beria-ia nak buat kek n box mcm yg aku buat tu..yela..nak kate membazir..tahla..sbb normallly lelaki ni die tak ksh sgt bab2 ni...hrmmm... tak kshla..asalkan..die hpppy..aku pun hppy..smua hpppyyyy..yeappppyyyyy !!!

4Jun2009 @ Khamis, pukul 5am kitorg gerak keluar dr sg.buloh ke sg.petani...at first nak kuar tgh mlm smlm..kononnyer nak smpai pagi sok nyer..tapi alih2 subuh gak kuar..bagus la..aku rsau cket nak balik tgh mlm..yela incase terjadi ape2 kan susah..kiorg naik kete unser ustaz malik..penuh giler 1 kete yg besar..mane taknyer..kek berkotak2..brg permata hijrah lagi..tak muat kete pesona aku yg cute miut tu..heheh

pukul 730am kiorg smpai tapah..stop for breakfast dulu..nasi lemak biase berharga rm2.50..perrgghhh.. giloss mahal la...confirm aku tak mkn situ dah..tapi pekedai tu terpksa gak chrge mhal..yela, sewa kdai kecik tu je dah bape..tapi klu aku tak mkn pun..confirm ade org lain yg akan mkn..betollllll tak???huhu
